Another week to summarise, and new things for you to see. At the end of this post you'll also see the first gameplay captured from our prototype!

Hey everyone! I was planning on posting about the dynamic audio system in crest, but we'll postpone that to a later time. Right now I'd like to tell you about what's been going on at Littorina Sounds Studio here on the island. I've been busy recording drum sequences for the priest dances in Crest (more about that later). Why not take a look-sie into the recording site?

Hi all, Christoffer here, this post will go through the rig for our characters and also some sneak peaks on the animations. I love animation and have worked hard honing my animation skills for the past years, making custom rigs though, not so much. So when Martin asked me to do the rig for all our characters it was with mixed feeling, partly because I was still new with working in Blender and had almost no idea how it handled rigging. But after some sweat, blood, tears and some help from tutorials and Johannes, our lead programmer, I think I made a really great and simple rig that features everything we need for animations in the game.

"Greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right, greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit."
These words, said by ruthless businessman Gordon Gecko in the movie Wall Street is a memorable scene from a movie that does not really have all that much to do with our game. I mean, it's a movie about stockbrokers and our game takes part in the ancient times where people haven't even got a currency system.
If you can overlook that slight mishap I'm going to clumsily segue into my post about game design and talk about greed. Greed and its opposite, goodwill.
